Money addresses earthly needs, wishes, wants, and desires. It certainly is a tool that can solve small problems and even big problems. A question to ask and answer sincerely is, “If I had $1M, would that solve my problem right now?” So maybe it gets you a place to live, eat, dress, and some ‘off’ time. However, money cannot address eternal problems.

Do I know what God’s will is for my life? What is my specific purpose, my mission, my contribution, my gift? My specific reason for being on the planet right now is so that ‘His Kingdom can be done on earth as it is in Heaven’. This is why the Word says, “Don’t worry about what you will eat, wear, or live. The Father knows we need these things. Seek first the Kingdom of God.”

So where do we seek?
You seek inside of you. The Kingdom of God is in you. You look for it inside yourself. You search for those things inside of you that you could not have put there. You identify those things that can’t be bought with money. You unearth those things uniquely combined in you, dust them off, and put them to use. There’s hidden treasure inside of me. Worrying can’t get it out. Fretting won’t get it out. Complaining won’t get it out. Ignoring it or hiding won’t get it out. No way is money going to get it out. There isn’t enough money anywhere worth more than the treasure in me.

How do I get it out? Being giving and generous to others, that’s what gets it out. It’s for other people, not you.

Seek the Kingdom of God in you and let His will be done on earth through you. That is the ultimate mission that pays eternal dividends. Money can’t get you that.
